Camping experience

 I went to 7^th grade camping trip to Santa Cruz Island. This was my first camping with OVS. I was very excited to go camping. I was interested in hiking, kayaking, and helping the teachers.

 We hiked for two days. The challenge of hiking was on Wednesday. It was raining, so it was very hard to walk or run. Also, the mud was very slippery and sticky. That’s the reason there was a challenge. I slipped three times and my shoe was covered with mud. So, it was hard to clean the rain gear and shoes.  It was very fun.

 We did kayaking on Tuesday (group one). We saw the seals during kayaking. They were at the rock in the cave. It was little bit hard to get to the caves and row the boat.  I had a good time on the sea.

 I helped the teachers when it was time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At that time, I helped finding foods inside the box, get water from the water fountain, and cooking foods. The teachers were proud of me for helping us and waking up early. So I got Smarties before bed time. So, I was happy.

Overall, I learned how to cook food when it’s time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, how to use the kayaks and row, and why we need or don’t need something (fleece, umbrella, and thermal). It was a good time on Santa Cruz Island.

About My dad

 My dad is a business man. He works in a SK company. He is a high person in the company. So, he can’t come house very often. Reason what he is a high person in the company is my grandfather made the SK company. But he was dead before I was borned. But the highest person in the company is my dad’s older brother. So, he is second highest person in the company.

 My dad is 48years old and he was borned in May/16th/1963.His hobbies are skiing, sleeping, cooking  and cycling. Most important in his hobbies are  cooking and slepping . He cooks spaghetti, pizza, soup, salad, beef, steak and, good dessert. His food is very delicious. So, most of person eats the food again what my dad makes .He sleeps at 3’o clock everyday at weekend. And he always woke up at 11’o clock.

 

Embarrassing Moment

 I don’t have many embarrassing moment. But there’s only one most embarrassing moment. One day, at the camp time(not at OVS), there was party night. That day was do one of your hobbies and every single campers has to do at least one. I have many hobbies. But, I need a items. But I didn’t have any items. When it was my turn, my face became red. I thought for few minutes and I got a good idea. I did tak-won-do (Korea’s national sport such as karate). I did good kicks, guards, chops, and punches and broke some woods (easy pieces to broke).

After that, the record said I’m in 10^th place. So I had good rest of that day.

All About Me

  My name is Dong keun(Daniel) Chey. And I’m from Seoul Korea. I’m from Seoul Korea. I’m in 7^th  grade and my birthday is in January twenty-first. My family is mom, dad, older brother and sister and, 11years old dog. My older brother is in college and older sister is in high school. My favorite subject is math and PE. I like to play videogames and practice tak-won-do (Korea’s national sport and such as karate). My favorite food is cup noodles and kimchi. Also, my hobbies are tak-won-do and skiing. And this is my first year in Ojai valley school. But I was also here at the Summer camp. This is second time in USA school. First time, I was in the Pennsyvania.
